This week’s Longer Monday Top Tips is a conversation inspired by my work with the brilliant regenerative performance coach, Dr Pippa Grange, and her new book. It’s an episode that I think speaks directly to how many of us are living right now.
We are surrounded by a culture that rewards constant doing. Being switched on, responsive, productive, and always available has become the norm. But as we explore in this video, there is a real psychological and physical cost to living in this way. Sustained effort without recovery affects our ability to think clearly, regulate our emotions, and feel like ourselves.
In this longer Monday Top Tips for paid subscribers, I talk about burnout as a state of chronic stress, why pushing through often makes things worse, and the importance of understanding that rest is not separate from performance but central to it. We look at the idea of rhythm, moving between effort and recovery, and what happens when that rhythm is lost.
