This week, I’m sharing something that’s been on my mind during my holiday — a little more from Monday’s top tips — about what Rainer Maria Rilke calls “living the question.” It’s about allowing yourself the space to think, to wander, to be, without the constant pull to produce. I’ve been walking the hills of Scotland, noticing how freeing it feels when my head isn’t full of the next deadline or social post. But here’s the dilemma I’ve been living with: I’m starting to believe that balance doesn’t really exist… and that the cultural obsession with productivity might be quietly eroding our ability to truly live.

In this week’s main video, I explore this tension — between wanting to create and contribute, and wanting to simply exist in my days. I talk about my age and why being “busy” can act like an anaesthetic, numbing us to the richness of life. I share how I’m trying to unhook my sense of value from my output, and the surprisingly simple practices I’m using to open my mind to better answers. If you’ve ever felt torn between doing and being, I think you’ll find this one resonates deeply.
