This week, I’ve been reflecting on something I keep returning to - both in my own life and in my work:

The internal locus of evaluation — learning to trust your own sense of what feels right.

It’s an idea I first came across over forty years ago when I trained as a psychotherapist, and it’s one that continues to evolve with every stage of life. Each time I revisit it, it feels slightly different - as though I’m stepping into a new version of the same river.

In this new video, I talk about how we so often look outward for validation - approval, recognition, reassurance - rather than pausing to ask ourselves: Does this truly feel right for me?
When we learn to listen inwardly, we build confidence, calm, and resilience.

I also share a few small, practical ways to strengthen that inner sense of knowing:

  • Pausing before decisions to check whose voice you’re listening to

  • Noticing how your body responds - ease or tension often tells the truth

  • Reflecting with yourself, not against yourself, to build trust over time

It’s a gentle reminder that self-trust isn’t built all at once - it’s something we return to, again and again, each time learning it slightly differently.

Join me to explore how to strengthen your internal compass and find steadiness in your own voice.
