In this week's episode of the Therapy Works podcast (LISTEN HERE), I had the pleasure of speaking to Dr. Rachel Clarke, whose profound words have left a lasting impact on me. She beautifully expressed the essence of living boldly and opening our hearts to the world, despite the inevitable pain it may bring. As Ted Hughes once wrote,
"The only thing that matters is how much we open our hearts, how boldly we’re willing to live."
It's a reminder that amidst life's challenges, choosing kindness can be a beacon of light.
In times of uncertainty, kindness is a powerful choice. It's a simple yet profound act that can have a ripple effect, touching the lives of others in ways we may never fully comprehend. Whether it's holding the door for a stranger, offering a smile, or lending a listening ear to a friend in need, each act of kindness has the potential to brighten someone's day.
Kindness isn't just about grand gestures; it's about the everyday moments where we choose to be friendly, generous, and considerate. From small acts of courtesy to heartfelt expressions of support, every act of kindness contributes to creating a more compassionate world.
I encourage you to take a moment today to spread kindness in your own unique way. Whether it's a random act of kindness for a stranger or a heartfelt gesture for someone close to you, know that your actions have the power to make a difference.
Love,

When my daughter was a child, she copied down this quote from Tolstoy which is on a wall where we live.
‘Everyone thinks of changing the world but no one thinks of changing himself.’
Apart from the himself which I should change to themselves, it has seemed to me in the last few years, where I have felt powerless about government decisions and the geopolitical situation, that the useful thing I can do is, as you say, and to try and be kind in my everyday life
